In December of 1942, Woody Guthrie moved to Greenwich Village, New York.  On New Year's Day, 1943, he penned his "New Year Rulin's" (New Year's Resolutions) smack dab in the center page of his journal.

His timeless folk-wisdom is something we can learn from, even today. 

Sometimes, the best way to create a fresh start is to simply return to the things that matter most; to our hearts, our souls and our health.  For Woody, that meant:

On the Road (Again)

I've let my hair and the windows down, again, and hit the road to nowhere specific.  I had to.

I've been on the road for over 3 weeks now and as difficult as it was to pack it all up and say goodbye to my "home" in Oklahoma - once I left, I felt the tension in my shoulders melt.  The weight of the expectations I'd put on myself dissipated. 

I will always call Oklahoma home and I will always return to my roots there, but I had to give myself permission to fly.  I had to give myself permission to just go out on the road and be, once more.  No expectations. No preconceptions.  Just me - a hollow bone - out here in the world, having an intimate discussion with Spirit - and sharing the language of The Outlaw Oracle with kindred spirits like you.
